The access to clean water is essential to good health, yet much of the world does not have it. This trip is a chance for our group to raise the funds to provide safe water for 45,000 residence of Arusha, Tanzania. Diseases because of unsafe water is a leading cause of death in developing countries yet something most of us take for granted.. Would you join me in this endeavor by donating today?
I am Steve Foley and I am blessed to be married 33 years to my wonderful wife Patti. The year after we were married we hiked 1,425 miles of the Appalachian trail. We rarely go a day without walking miles together. I have thought that one of the questions I would love to ask in heaven is how many miles have we walked together in our life. We have three grown boys and 4 grandchildren (and one on the way). My eyes were opened to Compassion's work when I travelled to Ecuador in 2007 and saw the impact Compassion was having on the people we met there. Since that time I view my involvement with Compassion as my mission field. I am able to share my faith with children all over the world through Compassion. As I have been involved it has shown me God's heart for the poor and how His word is filled with passages directing us to help.
