I have always wanted to travel to another continent and see firsthand some of the challenges others endure that I take for granted each day. This opportunity was offered to me as a sponsor of a Compassion child. Although I could come up with many excuse not to do this trek, I continued to feel a prodding to do it. I believe it's God at work. I can only imagine what it would be like not having clean water. We, as christians, are called to a mission. Matthew 10:42-- And if anyone gives even a cup of water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward.
I am the mother of four and soon to be an empty nester as the last of the four is graduating highs school and heading to college in the fall. I work part time as the work comp coordinator of an orthopedic office. I enjoy running, working out, reading, camping, singing in my churches worship team, and group bible studies. The older I get the more I enjoy my quiet time.
