Compassion became part of my life a couple of decades ago when I sponsored my first child; I've always been impressed by the organization, but even more so after I first visited several Compassion centers last year in Tanzania as part of the Kilimanjaro Challenge Team. Summiting Africa's tallest mountain was amazing, but meeting the children whose lives Compassion is touching truly is more meaningful. To be clear, each of us participating in the Inca Trail Challenge is paying the costs for the trip - the airfare, lodging and expenses for the expedition. Any donations are NOT paying for our travels--they're going directly to establish new Compassion centers to serve the neediest children of Peru. Please consider supporting our trek, whether it be with a few dollars or some larger amount. It's and I'll be sure to let you know how it all goes. I'll be grateful for your help in this Blood, Sweat & Compassion excursion!God bless,Jon
